• Research is the most freeride-oriented board of the entire PUBLIC snowboard line. The overall directional shape and 8mm taper make this board float effortlessly in powder and turn effortlessly on hardpack, while maintaining the freestyle DNA that PUBLIC is known for.
• This board is equipped with all the best technologies, such as our new Carbon V and carbon fiber from tip to tail. Combine this new technology with a tried and true poplar core and super fast sintered base, and you have an unparalleled freeride board for all mountain exploration.
• MOUNTAIN ALERT CAMBER – A directional version of the Alert Camber, providing edge hold, control and pop. Tip and tail feature an early rise, with the tip being slightly more convex, which increases buoyancy in powder and makes it easier to enter turns.
• Instead of melting polyethylene pellets together (extrusion), sintered bases are made by crushing the pellets under high pressure. This makes the sintered base more porous for maximum wax absorption and more resistant to abrasion. In other words, it makes the board faster and more durable!
• A high-quality version of our proven poplar core. Strategically placed super-light paulownia wood throughout the core to reduce weight but maintain a fast feel. Strips of hardwood are placed under the bindings to reduce board breakage at the binding line and increase insert retention.
